Exposed spine, hardcover binding. Printed letterpress throughout, using linocut, woodcut, wood engraving, polymer plate & movable type. Individual pages are printed between one and five colours some dusted with gilding powder or mica.

In 2019 I travelled to Burma / Myanmar as the country opened up to the outside world after decades of isolation and military dictatorship, and before the tragic events of 2021. Burma Bound is based on the material gathered on this journey – from the cover paper derived from longi fabric, endpapers from mosaics on Mandalay hill, to images drawn in my sketchbook as I sailed along the Irrawaddy.
